Becoming a Co-op Member

Co-op membership is open to all working artists/fine craftspeople in the Puget Sound area. To become a member, you will need to submit 3-5 pieces of your work (that are representative of the body of work you would like to display) to the Artist Cooperative of Whidbey Island for review.

All work submitted will be thoughtfully reviewed by a group of diverse co-op artists (Jury Committee).

The Jury Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Freeland Library.

The committee looks at prospective artists work to determine if:

A) the work is different than other work that is currently being exhibited

B) the work is well designed/ constructed

C) has artistic merit and

D) the current need and space for additional members. Artists who submit work to be juried will be notified of their acceptance, wait list position or non acceptance on the day that the work is juried.
