I always wanted to follow a different drummer. I heard the drumming in the distance but it took me almost 40 years to have that courage. From an early age I was encouraged to "Get a good job". So I spent the first part of my working life in Corporate America, cultivating my music and art as hobbies. Originally from Seattle, I moved my family to Whidbey Island in search of a different lifestyle. Still searching, I raised my family, completed a Masters Degree in Psychology, ended my corporate affiliations, and started my studio.

My passion is my sculpture. Each time I take a piece of clay or wax in my hands I am impatient with anticipation of what is hiding in there. The father of three grown children and four grandchildren (soon to be six!), I have always found great delight and inspiration in my family. My first sculpture was one of my granddaughter's laughing face. I had to capture that joy in something more than a photograph.

I am a self-taught sculptor. My original works begin mostly in clay or wax to be cast into bronze. I like creating pieces that range from whimsy to the more serious psycho social aspect of the human condition. I find great pleasure from the process that allows me to share my vision through my sculpture.
