Weaver, Spinner, Dyer
I am intrigued by the whole process of converting fiber to cloth. I enjoy the discovery and doing of each stage and then in sharing the results.
I keep two pet alpacas for their fleece as I love to spin and dye as well as weave and knit.
I aim to use natural fibers appropriate to their end use --- wool or linen warp for rugs, cotton or linen for towels since they will be washed often and need to be absorbent. A whole range of fibers is appropriate for garments and I enjoy mixing them to get the best hand and color range and vibrancy.
I am passionate about recycling and caring for the environment so I use leftover yarns and search for sales from people quitting weaving rather than rushing to the supplier of new and newly developed yarns.
I want people to use my products often and with enjoyment and satisfaction so what I make is utilitarian and designed to last.
The Co-op is a special place to work and a unique opportunity to sell. The members are my colleagues and my friends
