Lucia Enriquez, Digital Painting

My work is influenced by immigration, pre-colonial cultural studies, family history and the transformative effect of being in nature. In my work you might see glyphs from an indigenous writing system, weather symbols, and wave forms that evoke the spirit of characters from fables and myths. My aim is to take the viewer into journeys and the mysteries of nature and dream.

Trained as a printmaker, I now work in digital painting and other applications that emulate particle interactions and wave forms to create images. These images are custom printed and sized, using archival ink with a velvet matte surface on Dibond, or on metallic paper faced with plexiglass.
