“It gives me great joy to make something with my hands that a person might honor me by wearing.” All my life I have been a crafter but as a child, it was my Grandma Gayle that taught me what it was to create. Through her I learned to crochet, knit, sew, garden, and bake. I am thankful that I had such an amazing woman in my life who encouraged my artistic spirit. In the 1990’s I attended my first, but not to be my last, beading class. The saying that beads are addictive is so very true. I now work mostly in Beads, Wire and Lamp work. Not being classically trained, “it can’t be done” is not something I understand. My wearable art evokes an impression of warmth, nature and a soaring spirit. I am inspired by colors and textures with the hope that my pieces become a part of every woman’s freedom of expression.
