Woody has always had a deep passion for art in all forms as far back as he can remember.
In high school he was drawn to art and Mechanical drawing. This carries into college where his Major was Art & Psychology. Leaning more towards art & design. Joined the Navy in 1966 and was stationed in Hawaii. In the Navy Submarine service he became the boats artist. He was Quartermaster 2nd class SS / Diver. Discharged from the navy in 1970 woody stayed in Hawaii enjoying the islands for almost 20 years. Woody started a Design firm that specialized in Custom trophies and awards. He spent many years enjoying the Hawaiian islands Scuba Diving, Swimming & Sailing pretty much anything that had to do with water. |
Moved to Pacific Northwest in 1987. As a child growing up his family used to vacation on Orcas Island in the San Juan's. Went to work for the leading pool and spa company in the Northwest in 1992. He was their project manager for swimming pool Design installation & sales. 5 years of experience working in the in-ground pool industry both as a designer and project manager Project Managed & assisted in the design /installation of a indoor lap pool for Dale Chihuly internationally renown glass artist.
Woody Morris as founder of Waterscapes brings with him a background in art & design that expands some 40 years, Woody's specialty of creating a TOUCH of Nature for his clients.

Currently is working is various medias. Stone sculpting, Waterfeature design and installation of waterfalls, ponds, streams, and water walls and painting. Motivated by his passion for design and his background in art & design, Woody now creates one of a kind paintings combining acrylic paint / Alcohol ink and resin on wood and tile.
