Sculptural ceramic wall art featuring both hand-painted and carved tiles. My love of gardening inspired the creation of this piece that features textural elements that almost demand to be touched-garden boots, tools, watering can, flowers and one of my favorite garden visitors- a Goldfinch. The larger tile in the center, painted using watercolor techniques, depicts a charming garden cottage. The surrounding tiles (3-dimensional) are painstakingly carved and detailed, each one painted with ceramic underglazes. 3 coats of gloss glaze are applied to each tile before the final firing in the kiln. This work will add charm to any room inside your house or office. Perfect for displaying on a covered porch but void exposure to "weather" (rain).
