Kait Robinson, Mixed Media
Bio:
Kait Robinson’s work celebrates the quiet brilliance of everyday life, drawing attention to the fleeting, often-overlooked moments that reveal their depth and quiet power. Using layered acrylic paint and woodworking tools to scar the wood panels to achieve holes to fill with resin for illumination. Each landscape is accompanied by handbuilt and wired LED lights specific to each piece with a removable power source. The work acknowledges that even through scars and shadow, light endures.
Kait has a BFA, enjoys crafting tiny hats, painting pets on canvas and her illuminated landscapes are in various Seattle locations since 2024. She currently resides in Freeland with her husband and two rescue dogs.
Artist Statement:
I create vibrant, textured illuminated landscape paintings using acrylic paints, resin and carved wood panels to remind myself of the beauty in the world I have experienced and will again, during some dark days with Multiple Sclerosis. Always trying to push through the dark to find the light.
