Shawn Connolly, Jeweler
A little tidbit about me:
I was a graphic designer and illustrator for a long, long time. Then about 10 years ago I became passionate about beading jewelry. The materials/styles I like to use are semi-precious stones and detailed seed-bead designs.
"Copper jellybeans" (Dante) was assembed with glue on a paper mache and clay form. Copper jellybeans refers to his toes. People frequently ask me how long did Dante take to complete? I really don’t know, but I think it took longer than a 40-hour week. 7" x 3" x 13"

"The Knuckleheads" base was created with clay on a wire form. Glass seed beads and eyes are glued onto the base. The crows are glued onto a stone pad, with ants running in front and around the birds. People frequently ask me how long did Knuckleheads take to complete? I really don’t know, but I think it took in excess of a 40-hour week.
