July at Whidbey Art Gallery
Art Walk is July 1st from 5-7 PM in Langley. Whidbey Art Gallery artists continue their 25th Anniversary celebration this month by hosting artists Molly Hueffed, Sandy Rubini and Barbara Mearing. Music by Molly & Mikey plus beverages and snacks will enhance your stroll through our five rooms of art, Sculptural Garden and Petite Gallery. Look for those specially priced $25 items.
The mixed media Parlor Boxes are approximately 12” x 26” and comprised of acrylic photographs, Ohio barn wood and rustic hardware. Each one tells a story which is on handmade tea-stained stationery.
Sandy has enjoyed success for over 20 years as a writer, editor, artist and fine art photographer and is best known for her ethereal, surreal, and hauntingly translucent style. Her work has been showcased across the Island, most notably at WICA, the Rob Schouten Gallery, and Whidbey Art Gallery.
Molly Hueffed is a professional artist and art educator living in Issaquah, WA. She creates her ceramic work out of the Jefferson Community Center Ceramic studio and from home. Her work continually evolves using new tools, expanding mediums, and combining concepts. She draws upon visions that manifest by watching colors from nature, and an inherent desire to create useable art.
