GALLERY OPERATIONS
Gallery business operations are handled by its voting members via committees. The elected Council, which handles long term planning, policies and other operational matters, meets once a month and committees meet according to their needs. Member meetings are held on an as-needed basis to discuss major topics affecting the Gallery and its Artists. Dues are based upon fixed expenses.
Council meetings are scheduled the second Tuesday of every month at the Whidbey Art Gallery at 5:30 p.m. All Members are welcome to attend Council meetings and are expected to attend Member meetings.
There is a jurying process when there are openings for new Members or Consignment (non-voting) artists. Guest Artists and Featured Member Artists may be selected to show artwork in the Gallery for a month. Artwork is rotated through the five rooms of the Gallery on a quarterly basis under the guidance of the Display Committee.
